Boogie & the Yo-Yoz started performing for the masses in 1995 under their original name, Yogi & the Boo Booz. They were named after their drummer’s (Brian Yogerst) nickname. (Not after that pesky bear who steals picnic baskets) Unfortunately, shortly after their inception, they had a little bit of a run in with Hanna-Barbera (Yogi & Boo Boo’s keepers). Thus, the name change. With no more than a name originating from Andy Kaufman’s character in the hit television show “Taxi” and a big dream, the Vic Ferrari Band was founded in 1988. With over 2500 shows under the belt, the band has played a large assortment of venues ranging from Rockfest, Octoberfest, and Summerfest to weddings, casinos, and corporate events across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Mexico. A love of music and a passion to entertain has driven the seven-piece ensemble to excel in winning over any audience. The band inched up the ladder after releasing four progressively popular studio albums. However, it was 2012’s Sin & Bones, which featured the hit single “Sandpaper” (over 3 million views on YouTube) that found the band reaching a level of legitimacy that drew a mass audience to drink in their trademark heavy melodic groove.
